It was supposed to be simple. Graduate high school, still madly in love with your first boyfriend, start and finish college, then get married and have kids, but life is never simple. Summer was going great for Penelope, her boyfriend was the typical jock in high school who everyone liked and she was his future high school sweetheart wife. They fought like every couple, but the straw that broke the camel's back was that he would do whatever his mother told him to do, even when it came to Penelope. 
          Penelope was never religious to the core but her virginity was something that was special to her, the one thing that was truly sacred to her. Never having sex with her boyfriend during high school made him impatient. It wasn't as if she didn't want to but, she had never felt sexually attracted to him, she always believed it would just happen after they dated longer. She hoped that it would be like the romance books she would read, full of lust and want. It was downhill mid-way through summer and he broke up with her. And then proceeded to sleep with her best friend. So yeah, life was not simple after that.
	Penelope's life was in shambles by the time she started college. Her entire life plan was tossed out of the window. However, life takes a mysterious turn when she meets her classmates in her forensics class, particularly a senior paramedic who is there only to get enough credits to graduate a semester early.
	Friends, truths revealed, tears, unsureness, and body-image issues, were all a part of an incredible start to her newly made college life plan.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him.
