Nyedzi Greyson, a troubled teen from a family that worships money and status over anything, finds herself caught up in the unmerciful storms of life. On a Friday night in Onge's Spot, celebrating a successful Derby, Amari Ndebe and Nyedzi's worlds collide. A Christian boy after God's own heart develops an interest in the school's lonely genius. Back and forth bantering and compliments lead to a peculiar friendship. He only seeks to help her find comfort in God but gets in the way.
