Alduin Defeated, Harkon Slain, Mirrak dead-- one would think that Skyrim and Tamriel as a whole would breathe a sigh of relief.

They were wrong.

The Aldmeri Dominion strikes, the defeat of the Stormcloaks bolstering the Empire against them. Their plan-- to decimate Skyrim and the rest of Tamriel in order to insure their superiority throughout Nirn. It is up to the Dragonborn and other heroes- new and old- to stand against the tide and stop the Dominion once and for all.

❅| "Even a vastness can no longer shelter you... or engulf your dream." ⊱⋅ ──────────── ⋅⊰ [UNDER EDITING/REDRAFTING - latest chapter: 8] To a world seemingly shrouded in a cloak of safety and eternal peace, death is an unimaginable concept. Yet for those whose rule of life was mere survival, perhaps that's a different situation. For those who stood in the face of adversity, for those who refused to give in to the castigation of their lives, life has no sweetness to it. Merely the bitter tang of a blood-chilling revenge. To avenge a loved one or perhaps even their own pain, the murderous intent behind their deceitful eyes is unmistakable. For to them, lamenting about the past is a life lost to the cruel hands of fate. What happens when a woman as brilliant as the morning sun provides a haven in one's dreams? What happens when she, despite the agonies life carried, says to abandon everything right here and now and leave? Alcestis did not need to be told twice. Seizing the chance to escape the horrible clutches of her grandparents, she sets out on a journey to find the Elementals - a band of heroes protecting the human realm from those that lied beyond, headed by her parents. She knew of the darkness that festered within her; she knew of the hatred that danced in her heart. More than anything, she knew the extents of how fragmented her soul was. What, perhaps, would unfold when she sets out on her journey, leaving behind the world she knew; leaving behind what hopefulness remained in her battered heart? None would heed her an answer, indeed. None save for the rage that tainted her being.

after the death of Emperor Titus Mede, the Empire was once again thrown into chaos with members of the nobility jousting for power bringing war and destruction across the land on a grand scale all in an attempt to lay claim to the throne. the Dominion then stepped into the fray with the intent of placing a puppet Emperor on the throne, unfortunately for them, the rebels across their lands took advantage of this moment of overexertion and were able to wrestle away major parts of both Valenwood and Elsweyr. This along with several devastating losses at the hands of the combined forces of Skyrim, Anvil, Kavtch, Skingrad, Evermore, Chorrol, and Gilane the high elves had no choice but to flee back to their Island and lick their wounds. A shaky peace was returned to Cyrodiil when General Basilius Augustus the leader of the western alliance marched on the Imperial City and took the throne by force and was proclaimed Emperor. He then married Lavinia the daughter of the Breton king and Queen of Evermore and made her his Empress with the two of them having a shaky marriage of epic proportions. With the assassination of the Sultan of Hammerfell and all of his heirs, the kingdom of the west dissolved, and now the province is filled with minor merchant republics and kingdoms with the richest being Sentinel in the North West and Gilane in the south. The Empire had won the war in Skyrim with Ulfric Stormcloak dying at the hands of the Dragon Born who went on to defeat both Alduin, Miraak, and the vampire menace before disappearing into the pages of history going only gods know where.

The Elder Scrolls: Dominion (BOOK 1: Legionnaire)

28 parts Complete

Karl has lived the same, old, boring routine. He tended to his parents' ever-growing land, he stalked his kills in the woods with his friend Nia, which he would then sell to some interested merchant. He has harvested, hunted, and haggled his entire life. All he ever dreamed of was to become a Legionnaire, a decorated soldier of the Imperial Legion. Yet, it seems his dreams were too far to accomplish. But, when an unprecedented disaster strikes the homestead, Karl realized he has been given a second chance to change the course of his life, and to chase the dream that he had always wanted. Unbeknownst to him, the Legion were having problems of their own. Fresh off another major military loss, and the recent death of their Emperor, the Legion was in total disarray. Unluckily for them, an elven-supremacist group known as the Aldmeri Dominion, is stirring up for another great war. Rated PG-16 for violence, foul language, and some explicit innuendos. This is a FANFICTION! I do not own the Elder Scrolls series. That right solely belongs to Bethesda Softworks.
