In a future where humans have become interplanetary, Heather is one of the first people to set foot on Proxima Centauri B. The planet has been thought to be uninhabited until Heather finds a small creature outside of the dome she lives in, but that isn't the only creature roaming the desert. Her discovery ends up putting the whole colony in danger.
