The story is about a man named Jack who is searching for a valuable painting in an abandoned house. As he finally finds the painting, he suddenly notices that the eyes of the person depicted seem to be following him. He decides to sell the painting, but when he brings it to an auction house, he learns that the painting was actually created by a famous serial killer. Jack returns to the house to leave the painting behind, but as he removes it, he hears footsteps and laughter that seem to be following him. He escapes from the house, but in his car, he realizes that the painting's eyes are fixed on him and he can't stop driving. He eventually crashes into a tree and dies. The painting is later found by another man who falls into the same trap as Jack. The story ends with the painting being sold to another person, and it remains unclear what happens to the new owner.
