The first one failed to be the chosen one and left the Galaxy in darkness.

Star Wars: Revan by AceLynxx

Revan was born on Tattooine and grew up with Shmi Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker, although they are not blood-related. When Revan was 9 years old, his mother passed away, and Shmi took him in out of respect for Revan's mother who was a close friend of Shmi's. Not much is known about Revan's father, but before leaving he gave Revan his name and said to his mother, 'His destiny lies here when the time comes'.
