"Calm down, just calm down." He thought to himself as he tried to even out his labored breathing, it it seems to just have made it worse.
His breathing became shorter and harder causing him to clutch his chest as the bitter December air seemed to attack his throat. "Ji- Hu." A soft voice rang out, though his head was still pounding. It caught his attention, "Ji-Hu, you have to calm down, take deep breathes. I promise you're okay." He didn't feel okay though, it wasn't working. "I'm trying." He gasped clenching his eyes shut, he balled up his fist hitting his chest before falling to the ground. Suddenly he stopped, everything stopped.
Ji-Hu Kim or JAY is a 24 year old man living his everyday life in Chicago, Illinois.
He's not satisfied but he's not complaining, however he feels that he should be doing more. Though he has no clue where to start, so he's settled for now.
One fateful New Years Eve dared to change the course of his life for the better, and for the first time in his life he just might let it.
Junni Sauveterre, a 21 year old woman supposedly in her 'prime.' Though she doesn't really know how true that statement is.
Because frankly? she doesn't really know where she's going.
But as long as God guides, she's decided to follow faithfully. She's been following Christ full heartedly for a few years and it seems to be a new lesson everyday. Not that she's complaining, maybe just a smidge.
However, what happens when these two just so happen to end up in the same situation on a bitter New Years Eve night?

~"You don't- you don't need me."
I stared in shock. This was the first shred of emotion he'd shown since he started avoiding me, and I had no idea how to respond. What was I supposed to say to something like that? So I let myself be honest, and I told him exactly how I felt. "But I do." I almost choked on my words. "I do need you. I can't talk to anybody else. I can't eat. I can't sleep. And I know you know what that's like."~
Liliana is now an orphan. Just 17 years old, she lost her parents in a boating accident and now she must live with her best friend, her best friend's parents and her best friend's brother, Joseph. She struggles through her grief as well as dealing with the mysterious but obnoxious Joseph, and it soon comes to light that he isn't the only one around her keeping secrets.
