Ang 'Mga Kwentong Aswang' ay isang nakakikilabot na antolohiya ng mga kuwentong-bayan, nilikha upang magbigay ng mas malalim na pag-unawa sa samu't saring anyo at pagkatao ng mga aswang-mga nilalang na matagal nang bumabalot sa takot at hiwaga ng kulturang Pilipino. Habang sumusulong ang mga kwento, bawat uri ng aswang ay inilalahad hindi lamang bilang halimaw, kundi bilang mga nilalang na may sariling moralidad, dahilan, at kasaysayan. Ang kanilang pagiging halimaw ay may pinagmulan-mga personal na trahedya, sumpa, o labis na pagkadesperado. Sa mga kwento, ang mga aswang ay inilalarawan bilang simbolo ng ating mga takot, kahinaan, at ang likas na kasamaan sa loob ng bawat isa.

Ang Mga Kwentong Aswang ay hindi lamang pagsasalaysay ng mga alamat, kundi isang masalimuot na pagninilay sa madilim na bahagi ng kalikasan ng tao, at sa anino ng mga halimaw na matagal nang nakaamba sa ating likuran.
