The Elements: fire, water, earth, air, ether, and all of the rest in between. Fire, of course, embodies everything from the nature of heat and flames. Water is the opposite, embodying everything cold and liquid-like. Earth is the element of Mother Nature, controlling all of her worldly objects. Air is the element of the skies, controlling the wind and its properties. Ether is the element of space, and arguably the most diverse and powerful of the five. Many sub-elements can also be found in each of the five.

Through his time in Zenith Academy, first-year Adrian Garner learns how to increase the power and control of his air element. At the same time, organized groups of corrupted elementals band together to make their attempt at gaining control of all the elements. Through the power of dark magic, not only do they get corrupted, but so do their elements. Adrian and his peers take it upon themselves to nullify the corrupted ones and their motives, but the question remains. Can they do it?

The balance of nature is a beautiful thing. Everyone knows that balance is helped by Mother Nature. What people don't know is that there is too much chaos in the world for one person to handle. Mother Nature needed help to keep the balance between humans and nature. She chose four people. Four elements. Fire, air, earth, and water. Four people to help control the world's balance with their element. These four people are chosen from birth. Fire is strong and confident, yet badly tempered. Air is free-spirited, often a dancer who likes gossip. Earth is stubborn and greatly built. A great debater. Water is calm and graceful. If you mess with them though they can be worse than fire. Mother Nature chooses the new generation of elements based on who they are inside from birth. She trains them to use their element in secret. If society knew the elements walked among them the results could be catastrophic. People can belief in someone bigger than themselves, but if they knew what really went on the balance would die. The elements are to tell no one of their powers. The four most often form two couples. Mainly fire with air, and earth with water. The balance naturally is two boys and two girls. This is the story of four talented people who changed the rules, and dealt with the biggest natural chaos of mankind, that mankind never knew.

Two hundred years of peace have passed in Zertima, a land filled with magic, creatures, and mages. However, after those two hundred years comes an era of fear, fighting, and death. The Venom's Curse, known as the world's greatest danger, has climbed up to reach a level of great power, with the help of his fierce hunger for battle and commanding, that is strong enough to possibly secure his rule of the entire mage world. In order to save Zertima from potential collapse and eternal perishing, four young mages are found, called the Elemental Mages. The Mages - Water, Earth, Fire, and Air - are taken to a sheltered location named the Mage Sanctuary to train together and prepare for their eventual battle with the Venom's Curse and to rid of the trepidation he has cast across all of Zertima. However, not all of the Mages are willing to commit their life to train with the others and help save the mage world. Ignacia, the Elemental Mage of Fire, is the newest and last mage to be Founded and come to the others. Along with easily getting into arguments with Water Mage Salil, she is in an internal battle with herself trying to decide what choice she should really choose to carry through with. *Book originally inspired by "The Burning Sky" by Sherry Thomas. "I'm ready to risk it all if you are," there is no hint of amusement, or lying, seen in his dark brown eyes as the words slip from his parted lips. Academy Initia is where elementals, people who can control elements at there whim, go to train their abilities. There is water/ice (other wise known as frost), earth, wind, and fire. Fire and Frost elementals are kept apart since they can potentially kill each other from a touch. Though, when the Academy is attacked, it forces the officials to have the students work together to become more powerful as one. Forcing the fire and water elementals to interact. We all live in the world of magic and elements, but we don't know it. Fire, water, air, and earth used to rule the world, but a terrible war broke out. Each element wanted more territory and fought for it until they either died or got it. In the end, water, air, and earth teamed up to take over the fire's territory. Fire was the most powerful of the elements and even more dangerous. They killed off all of the fire elements, well, they thought they did.

Earth, water, air and fire are the four known elements that gives balance and harmony to nature. There is also another element but not quite as known as the other four, this element is spirit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Around the world there are many children graced with a gift to be able to do an element but they would have to learn to control it. If unable to control their element, there will always be destruction following in their paths. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - But it is extremely rare for a child to have more than one element as well as being able to control the fifth element. No one knows who this child is, but once they find out they'll need him/her to save the world. Some of the older element users come up with an idea to make a school for these children so they can learn to control their elements as well as knowing they aren't alone in the world.

Here's where we meet Breeze, a Junior-Elemental controlling the element of air, still struggling with putting his right emotions when connecting to the element. Taunted by his older brother Rain, and his Elemental partner Ember, the insecurity within takes control of his element. The Noble Academy has a group of people that are born with special abilities besides the other humans. They are called Elementals. These people are at the top of the school. So far, the known abilities are fire, water, earth and air. These people wear red cloaks and mask to protect their identities. What happens when there is a person that has all the abilities and more? Meet Winter Valentine. She knows what she is and she knows it must be kept as a secret. The elders of the Academy keep a close eye on her. Fearing that she can be a dangerous threat as she controls very strong powers. A dangerous power is approaching and not all the Elements can defeat them. They need Winter to fight with it but how can they do so if they don't know Winter? (It isn't fully edited. I wrote it when I was 14 so be aware it's probably not going to make a lot of sense) - 18 year old self
