"The Cursed Mask" is a story about a young boy named Noya who witnesses the brutal murder of his parents at the hands of bandits. He escapes and is taken in by Master Shiru, a wise old man who teaches him the ways of the samurai. One day, while on a mission to collect herbs, Noya discovers a cursed mask buried in the ground. The mask promises to make him powerful and unstoppable, but at what cost? As Noya faces his biggest challenge yet - rescuing his kidnapped friends from the same bandits who killed his parents - he must choose between the mask's alluring power and the values and teachings of his late master.
