When Katsuki leaves to enroll in the Air Force, Izuku is fearful for what might come. But slowly and surely, they learn to adapt to their new normal.

Late-night calls, gifts, cards sent through the mail, and a weekly FaceTime call have been enough to tide Izuku over in this difficult time of separation.

Until one evening, when Izuku gets notified that Katsuki's plane crashed during a morning patrol. They say his death was instantaneous.

But Izuku isn't convinced. Katsuki is harder than steel, tougher than diamond. Surely he can't be gone. Izuku won't believe it.

As Long As You Come Home To Me is a story of love and loss, and perhaps the idea that truth is stranger than fiction.
