15-year-old Liliana 'Lily' Williams has been living with her cousin April for the last five years, and in that time, they've become closer than ever. One day, while the girls are walking home, they're attacked by a group of thugs, only to be saved by four mysterious figures. When they find out who, or rather what, their heroes are, they embark on new adventures more exciting than either of them could've imagined. Along the way, one of the heroes starts to get closer to Lily than he expected, and vice-versa. Could this lead to new beginnings for our heroes? Will their newfound enemies win the war? Or can four heroes in a half-shell be the key to saving the world?

A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved. Figured I had nothin' to lose, so this's what came outta that chat. Hope you dig it! First time putting words on paper, fingers crossed it ain't too shabby.
