Hi, I'm Glitch, a demon talking about demons.
This should be fun, right? After all, who better to spill the tea on demons than a demon who spends his days prowling the dark corners of the underworld? You've got questions about demons, and I've got answers-just don't ask me to sugarcoat anything. I'm here to tell it like it is, and things can get a bit gnarly in my world.
I might not look like much at first glance-just a short demon with a lashing tail-but don't let that fool you. I know my way around the shadows, and I've seen things that would make your hair stand on end. When it comes to demons, there's always more than meets the eye, and trust me, there's a lot to see. Every year, my town chooses a sacrifice for the demon that "watches over" our home. In exchange for a person from the village between the ages of 17 to 25, the demon protects our village. And because of that pact, our village is protected for the next year, under the demon's watchful eyes. No one knows what happens to those who the demon chooses, but there's a lot of theories about it. One is that the demon eats or absorbs those who are chosen - another, that it kills them. But this year, I'm the one who's chosen. I get to meet the demon I've feared since I was a child, and now that I'm 24, and am considered an adult, I could have left the village behind. But I didn't. Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives. I don't know what to do, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Besides, how bad can this demon be if they're guarding our town?Complete
