Salantina has spent the last few years of her life competitively swimming and after her cousin died it was the only thing she could do to escape her thoughts. That is until she is bitten by a mysterious fish at a stream that leaves her with a mark.
Her once quiet life gets turned upside down when her neighbor gives her a warning but she can't figure out what she needs to be wary of.
Strange things start happening and it's not long until Salantina needs to explore old legends to understand why she is changing. Fynn, the new boy from school, just might have the answers but is he willing to share?
