David Cross, a private detective, is called to investigate the sudden disappearance of his estranged brother, Henry. Upon arriving at Henry's apartment, David finds it in disarray and begins to suspect foul play. Things take a strange turn when a man named Mr. Friday appears, claiming that Henry owes him a debt. As David delves deeper into the mystery, he discovers that Henry had made a deal with Mr. Friday to help him and his wife conceive a child. In exchange, Mr. Friday claimed he would return to collect a debt in a year and a day. Desperate to save his brother, David sets out to unravel the truth and discovers that Henry may have bitten off a lot more than he can chew.
