Miley Aetos missed Luke Castellan no matter what anyone said. She knew that he was in the wrong, but he was angry. Angry at his father for abandoning him and his mother at their lowest. Miley wanted Luke to see that they could live their lives together and ignore the fact that their godly parents didn't pay attention to them. Miley joined Percy on a quest again, hours after her half-sister, Clarisse La Rue, was sent on the same quest herself. Clarisse always knew how much Luke meant to Miley, she never told her to forget him and always told Miley to have hope that Luke would abandon his anger and come back to the Luke Miley knew. 

Miley was shocked at the brother that Percy had. Miley knew what happened to Thalia and was upset about it, but Tyson couldn't even harm a fly. Miley and Tyson forming an unlikely friendship was something no one expected, but Luke Castellan became jealous and more angry than he was with his father. 

"What is he? My replacement?" 

"Tyson is a friend. I couldn't replace you even if I tried. Please, Luke. It doesn't have to be this way." 

"Miley, you were right. This won't get me anywhere. I'm sorry and I'll take any punishment from the Gods. But please, take me back and I'll let go of the anger towards Hermes."
