This is a small collection of poems that I have compiled over the years starting at age 15 stemming from my own personal experiences and observations of the world around me. I am hoping in the future for this to become a book. For as long as Evelyn could remember, her home has never been a safe place. With the constant threat of her mother's erratic behaviour, Evelyn is nothing more than her punching bag. But one day, she finds an abandoned poem left on a park bench, and with it comes Darren. Darren is everything Evelyn is not- unadulterated, raw and so unapologetically himself. As he draws Evelyn into a world she has never know before, the ties between them begin to tighten.
