Ella is an ordinary cat. She lives an ordinary life with her humans Martha and Scott. Her life is perfect and she is content in her home. 

     Soon however, things begin to change. Her humans pass away in a tragic car crash leaving Ella homeless to fend for herself. She and the cat next door, Lily embark on journey to find the legendary "Cats of the Endless Hills". Instead, Ella finds a handsome tom called Owl, a member of The Cats of Riverglen.
