His memories of all of his past lifes are all gone which mean everyone in empires have forgotten everything and become human.

 Scott finds a book about him and Jimmy in the past life which is 3rd life but Scott doesn't actually know it was about him and Jimmy.

But there is a legend where you get something or give someone anything related to their past life, they will remember all of their past lifes.

Then again, it's a legend Why would anyone believe on it?
