It is up to the reader to decide if these are 'between the lines' moments or if these are canon divergences. They can be read however a reader likes. Vignettes that start with "Branch" in their title diverge significantly from the story, to the point where it would make the rest of The Owl House plot impossible if they happened. Consider them timeline branches.
There will be chapters that are difficult reads, some which will likely be triggering to some readers. Some may repeat a scene different ways.
This is not a happy story (or series of stories). Consider this author's note fair warning now. Enter at your own discretion.
Believe it or not, I actually do love these characters, though there are some I revel in making truly horrible people. This collection of stories doesn't have to be read as one over-arching tragic arc. You can read it as a series of one-shots, if you'd rather.
This one's heavy. Have fun, folks who love angst, tragedy, and major character death. You've got it coming in droves.
