affliction- noun. something that causes pain or suffering. He grabbed my neck in his thick, chubby hands and lifted me up off of the ground. I attempted to break free from his grasp by hitting him on the right side of his head. I needed to breathe. "Please," I whispered. He threw me away from his body and I fell to the ground, huffing. But it would not end there. I was going to die.

A misplaced love.
