Regulus always knew James would be the death of him. He stole everything from him. His brother, his best friends, his games, but worst of all his heart. He hated him, he hated him so much he just had to tell him or even better he had to show him.

James always loved Regulus, ever since Sirius proudly introduced him to their friends. He had a sense that the boy would be a big part of his life. He just never imagined that the love he had for Regulus would lead to snogging in broom closets and letting himself tell Regulus every little detail of himself.
