Saktong 8pm ulit siya pumasok at dumiretso sa commercial coolers. Tulad ng palagi niyang kinukuha, hawak na niya ang dalawang bote ng kape at umikot sa retail shelves. 

Ilang sandali lang ay nasa harapan ko na siya dahil wala sa mga nakalagay roon ang hinahanap niya. 


"Pa-open na po ako kuya." tulad ng palagi niyang sinabi, hindi na ako nagtanong pa. Nilagay ko ang isang bote ng kape sa paperbag at binuksan ang isa. Pagkatanggal ko ng takip ay kinuha niya ito at inilagay ang takip sa lamesa. Nilagay niya sa bag niya ang isang kape bago tinungga ang bukas na.

Chineck niya ang phone niya bago dire-diretso na lumabas ng convenience store habang tinutungga pa rin ang kape.



"Diba iyon yung sinasabi mo sa akin?" pagkausap sa akin ni CJ. Nakapatong ang baba niya sa hawak na mop. Siya ngayon ang kasama ko sa night shift dahil hindi raw muna available si Nat.

"Yup, pansin mo ba ang oras ng pagpasok niya?" tanong ko kahit na alam ko na naman ang sagot.

"Hindi." ngumiti ako at muling sinulyapan ang salaming pinto.

"8pm. Exactly 8pm pri."
