That was the day I saw him for the first time. He was sitting there on one of the graves, smoking and as gloomy as one of Bram Stoker's vampires. His long black hair hung in his face, wet from the rain. I approached him slowly while he just looked at me and brought the cigarette back to his mouth. He had to be older than me, but not by much. I stopped in front of him and he stared at me, I stared back. "Do you need an umbrella?" I asked. He didn't answer, so I just sat down next to him and held the umbrella over both of us.

Leonore 's mother dies when she is still a child. She grew up to be a strange teenager with a penchant for morbidity, happy to spend her time in the cemetery with her mother. One day there she meets the somber Edgar, who calls her Lenore, as in Poe 's Poem „The Raven" and seems to be her soulmate. But while both lead an undying love in their common dream world, they do not manage to be eternally united in reality as well.
