{Her innocence was taken. Her innocence was lost. Lylibeth Adams became something else. Something else that is meant for vengeance.}

In the quiet depths of her mind, a storm raged. A tempest of emotions that she couldn't quite understand or control. It was as if a part of her was missing, a piece of her soul that had been torn away by some unknown force. Like someone had clawed inside her and ripped away her soul. And yet, she couldn't quite remember what happened. All she knew was the pain that lingered and an ache that never quite went away. An ache that broke her mentally and physically. It tore away her innocence with something long, hard, and musty.

Lylibeth, a child who mysteriously vanished along with two other kids on a cold November and was found days later on the side of a road, has recently returned to her hometown. With broken and ill-paced thoughts, she slowly succumbs to vague memories, unexplainable events, and incomprehensible actions. As she struggles to piece together what is happening to her. What had happened to her and what will happen to her, a secret kept for years makes itself known.

A monstrous secret that people around her would keep hidden, even if it cost their lives.

Faith, fear, and fury. The strongest, most inalienable things that make us human. While the people of the world learn and grow, they shed feeling and emotion as time passes. Much like how matter cannot truly be destroyed, the energies of these sentiments never dissipates. Instead, it feeds beings born of all types of things, from ancient cultural followings to widespread societal discourse. In turn, these beings give back to the world--for better or worse. After the traumatic incident of his father's death, young DeMain is thrust into a world of turmoil and a hidden people right under the world's nose. As he harnesses a rare and unique ability gifted to him in exchange for his suffering, his view of the world unravels as he converges with others given the gift of Witchblood, an ability to see and interact with spirits. This book will take on its narrative based on the first-person views of three separate protagonists. I will remind those reading that 'protagonist' does not equate to 'hero' in all cases. A forewarning: This story includes many heavy themes and I felt the need to write them with the reality of how they happen. As such, be cautious. This book contains mentions of sexual assault, murder, violence, substance abuse, and overall conflict. There are also quite a varied amount of scenes with some 'gross' aspects to them. Though I imagine this would only affect those with vivid imaginations, you deserve to be warned regardless. Updates will done be once weekly if not more.

"It took me five seconds to fall. The impact on my chest jarring my body but not my mind. I suppose this is the point where your life is supposed to flash before your eyes as time itself freezes - and it did in a way. But I didn't relive my life physically like walking through an old memory, déjà vu in each step. It was a feeling, something that started in my chest and spread to my fingertips, one so unique to me that it encapsulated each significant event into one single second." For as long as May can remember one mystery has haunted her world. A dirty window before her, the grim obstructing her vision, she has lived with a loss she can't identify - that is until one rainy night. Gradually the spots of dirt May scratched at for so long wipe away with the touch of a finger. But when she looks in will she like what she sees - or will curiosity kill the cat?
