Roughly Two Years have passed since the downfall of Yaldabaoth and Demiurge. Ren Amamiya was living his normal life with his cat friend, Morgana, as well as his girlfriend, Sumire Yoshizawa. The three were living their happiest lives to the fullest, until they were visited upon by Igor and Lavenza of the Velvet Room with dire news.

The Reality Crystal has shattered as wicked beings with a twisted heart from different realities were starting to come together by various objects rupturing the fabric of space and time. Since it's a job that involves hearts to be changed, the Phantom Thieves began to spring back into action to take the hearts of the wicked from different realities.
