Searching for inspiration he travels the Scottish Highlands where he meets Juliet Connaught, a "hermit maiden" living alone in a cottage. The two are instanteously smitten, but love cannot take its course when a strange conspiracy plot transports them into their stories and their lives are endangered. This is going to be their greatest story yet...
