Leah is 24 and described as one of the unpopular lot. She has just finished university with a degree in criminology and psychology. She moves to Seattle to join the police there and finds a nice apartment in Seattle to live. The only downside to this is the apartment is near one of Leah's ex' who she hasn't seen in ages. They run into each other and Leah gets caught in the world of conduits. Later on Leah meets an old friend who wants to make her re-join one of the Seattle gangs.
