When seventeen year old, Angelina Gomez is torn apart by her family that is now splitting her life is turned upside down. Whenever she tries to talk at her house, nobody listens. So, her friend Brooke comes up with an idea. Whenever anybody talks to her she can only respond with one word. When she goes to Florida and meets the school's hot guy Zack, he tries to flirt with her and get her to fall for him but she never shows interest because she only responds with one word. He quickly become intrigued and starts trying to get to know her and she quickly starts falling for him. What happens when Brooke comes down from New York for a visit and starts flirting with him? Who will win his heart? After all they do say silence is golden.
