The seer prophesied the birth of a beautiful girl, named Freya, the daughter of a king and queen who will become known throughout the world as the most beautiful and fiercest shield maiden to walk the Earth. The seer said that she would marry a king, and together they would unite all of Norway and that the man she would marry, would cherish her and worship the ground she'd walk on. Their love story would go down as one of the greats throughout the ages, as would his love and devotion for her. The seer said that this was because the gods had tied these two soles together throughout eternity and that together they shall burn brighter than the night sky.

He spent his whole life becoming king. Hoping that one day he could achieve his dream of becoming king of all Norway. He thought this would make him worthy of another woman's love only for her to not love him at all, and the true woman of his dreams would exceed even his wildest dreams and expectations.

What'll happens when King Harald Finehair discovers that the woman of his dreams that he's been searching? Will she'll be everything he expected? And will their story unfold? The seer said their soles were made to burn together as one, only if they knew how true that would be.

In the northern royal kingdom of Arszden, nothing is as it seems. Being one of the oldest of the Fourteen Kingdoms, time has made its history both fact and fairytale, and to this day, nobody knows which is more accurate, either fantasy or reality. Katarina Kasdan was born free, but 321 days ago, her entire world crumbled at her feet. Not for the first time, and surely, not for the last. Stripped of her right to freedom after her entire village was burned to the ground, she was taken as a thrall by the woman known as the Keiserinne, and used for her dark wishes. But her wyrd was long ago settled. When the infamous Steel Kairo walks into her life, everything changes, once more. He is everything she hates. Everything she fears. Everything she loves. He has secrets interwoven with the very birth of the world he seems to carry in his shoulders, holds more power than one should ever be given to wield, and, on top of it all, he is said to be immortal. Something she should have known the first time she tried to stab him. Or when he offered to teach her to throw knives. Or when he kissed her for the first time. But as another king sits on his throne destined to fall, others reach to claim a crown bejeweled with secrets that could mean the unveiling of a long-lost prophecy and a wyrd millennia before settled. And as false kings race to claim an inheritance that is neither theirs nor the king's firstborn, the wyrd wields its hand to place upon the one true heir's head the crown of the Lost King. And amid such secrets lies a fate that claims that these two will be the bane of each other's existence until the blood of one of them is shed upon a land of daisies. Thus, chaos will come. Lives will be lost. Bonds will be made. Vows will be broken. Blood will be spilled. Fates will be set. And war will be waged. And the only remaining question is whether steel will be broken or a daisy will blossom.

"I've been waiting for you" his voice was coarse. I casually took a seat in front of him. "What is it you see? What do the gods have planned for me?" "First what in particular do you want to know?" I straightened my back and cleared my throat. "I, along with many other women, have always wanted to be a shieldmaiden like Lagertha. However, I realize I don't want to be my grandmother. I want to be a famous warrior like her. But I want to know if my name will be remembered?" The Seer was silent as he nodded his head. "You have honored your people with your success in Wessex. The gods smile upon you. However, you will come face to face with a missing part of your past. Your soul will face anger but also acceptance." There was a moment of silence between us. * * * * "The gods will always smile on brave women, like the Valkyries whose furies men fear and desire." - Seer Siggy is the daughter of Björn Ironside (the son of King Ragnar Lothbrok and the shield maiden Lagertha) and Porunn, a former slave. She was named after Earl Haraldson's wife (also Rollo's lover), who gave her life to save Ragnar's sons. Siggy is tenacious and daring. She has always had a strong bond with her father, since she never knew her mother and grew up learning how to fight from Björn and her grandmother, Lagertha. Her dream is to become a shieldmaiden and raid with her family. However, Siggy must face the obstacles of love and her heart breaking past to settle some family complications in order to make her dream a reality. [COMPLETED]
