Olivia Carter is a seventeen year old girl who's in her last year of high school. Olivia's mom died when she was ten and she made a promise with her before she died. Her dad's never home and goes on business trips anytime he is, leaving Olivia to learn to be independent.

Olivia's best friend, Elizabeth Smith (Eliza), has stuck with her from first grade to twelfth, but they've had some rough patches. Elizabeth has always been popular between the two, Olivia's been the quiet bookworm that chooses to keep to herself a bit. Until 12th grade when Olivia's world flips.
