This novel tells about a young boy who dreams of starting a new and peaceful life out west away from his abusive foster parents.
     Leaving with his friend, Joe. A few bucks, a rifle, and some clothes, they set off on the treacherous path west; away from their hometown.
     Along the way, they encounter things that they would see for the first time; thing that would both terrify and satisfy them; items that are rare and valuable; and everything in between.
