Ninja Squad: Assault on the City [Book 1]

There once was a crazy idea...

Carlos Jamija and Liaanna Fernandizze are two incoming middle schoolers with totally opposite lifestyles. They have never met each other until they were anonymously teamed up under the supervision of Cirah "Cat" Trentton, along with three others their age.

Cat came up with the idea of the Ninja Squad, thanks to the increasing crime rates in Highland City (the capital of their world named the Colonies). The purpose of the Ninja Squad was to have masked heroes to protect the city from harm and threat and to protect the citizens that live there, too. Another thing they have in common is that the whole team, including Cat, goes to the same school, Evergreen Way Middle School, which is in the middle of that same city.

As they struggle to be a team, war crimes are reported throughout the entire city. From theft and shoplifting to bombing and arson, with three suspects at the center of it. The true identity of the three suspects is unknown, just like the team's (and Cat). Can the Ninja Squad pull it together, protect Highland City from assault, and maybe, perhaps, unmask the suspects?
