Society was built off of the backs of giants, giants that, until recently, thought that they were immortal. After a thorough display of just how mortal the heroes truly are, they decide to respond to their newfound weakness in different ways, with some taking it better than others. One in particular, Philza, takes a new approach to it and decides to call upon the next generation to help out, a notion that is extra surprising coming from him as he should be the one that doesn't forgive them.

Tommy was going to be the strongest hero to ever live and that was that, no 'if's, 'but's, or 'and's about it. So what if his power is situational or his potential wasn't ranked high? He'll still beat everyone else up. After all, he's always wanted to be like his hero, and getting an offer to be part of the next generation of them lets him get one step closer to his dream.

"I understand. You heard the place you loved was in trouble, so you came back, but I don't-I just-why didn't you take me?" Here it was, at last. Catharsis, or something close to it. "I would have hunted them down with you, Philza, the people who did that to your town. I would have given you your vengeance on a silver platter. I would have given you the world." Philza didn't look guilty. He just looked tired. "I didn't hunt them down, though." // Or, that fic where Techno and Phil are old immortals, and Tommy and Wilbur are decidedly... not.
