Rosalie was a teenage girl who has lived in Poland her entire life, until the year 1939...
Long forgotten are her days of being a A+ student, sketching out on the lawn, or shopping with her mother. All she has known for 6 months is the cold hard ground of the Lourie's basement hiding under of Nazis flag, then it all changes...
Rosalie is found and taken to an adoption centre which she refuses to accept...
Next thing she knows she wakes up in a cattle cart, being transported to Auschwitz the biggest concentration camp for Jewish people like herself. There, she encounters a group of older teenage girls who have made Rosalie a target. She also meets Willen and Espen. Willen and Espen have been at Auschwitz since the beginning of the 1939. Espen has taken over the role as Willen's father and feels that he must do the same for Rosalie. Willen however sees Rosalie as a setback. And Rosalie tries her best to try not to despise Willen...
Till one day when Willen takes a punishment for Rosalie. This changes her whole view...
