Fifteen-year-old Sadie White has been a foster kid for nearly her entire life, she doesn't even remember her actual parents. She's been in numerous homes before, but has never felt comfortable in any of them. One day, a woman comes to make Sadie part of her family. Sadie doesn't feel comfortable about this situation, so she decides to take matters into her own hands and run away. She comes across a small, abandoned house where she finds that seven other kids, all fosters or orphans, live in it all alone. Sadie takes it as her responsibility to look after these kids, making sure they feel loved.
