Samar (Sam) is a savvy businessman who owns a hedge fund in New York City, where he meets Myra, a feisty new analyst whose constant quitting and bickering makes their boss-employee relationship challenging. When Natalie, Samar's best friend, enters the picture and jealousy begins to brew, she reveals her desire for more than friendship, but Samar has no intention of settling for a relationship other than friendship. After their paths diverge, Natalie becomes engaged, and Samar and Myra's relationship begins to simmer. This is the ideal scenario for Samar's mother, who insists that he marry an Indian woman.
