In the modern era, Sesshomaru, disguised as a human, is losing his will to live until he unexpectedly meets a young woman. Mesmerized by this stranger, he prevents a possible tragedy by saving her life. Revealing himself to her as a deadly being, he learns she shares a similar scent of someone he once knew hundreds of years ago. Through this fateful encounter, they come to know each other more intimately and he offers her something that would give her life a new meaning and what she has always longed for.
