One night, as everyone is asleep, a rouge queen with four kits enters the clan. Lavender Eye - the clan medic, the same night, has a dream about four kits not from the clan burning the sacred leaf with their paws. (Credits to Erin Hunter for inspiring this story)

As Wolfkit struggles with her ability, Frostkit has trouble with OutClan, seeing she has been gifted with supreme hunting and fighting skills. Both the she-cats go through hardships and battle having the temptation of mates as young apprentices, one far worse than the other.
