Journey: Into The Never-ending Way
Why does one travel from a well known neighborhood to another where the outcome of the visit is not yet understood? I could name the streets and places in my neighborhood. There was a well defined map in my head that used comfortable explanations for what to expect. Then, everything changed. I drove up the hill, parked the car in a familiar place. When I walked into the house all the furniture was the same. Yet, when I sat beside him everything I knew went away. My mind was empty, only able to engage in superficial talk. I was afraid of his cancer. I didn't know what to say or how to help. I was lost in the whole sorry business. Lost In The Mind of Me
Laid upon the pages of this book is a story. This is an autobiography. I struggled with writing this and, as you will soon understand, though I knew how to write it, writing it and thinking about it was difficult. I have not labeled the chapters in hopes that you will read all the way through. You may understand me a little more if you do so, but, on the same note, you may end up hating me. I do not know what your reaction will be, but I will allow your opinion of me. I give you full permission to judge me, only when you read everything. Scripture Speaks
Reading God's Word is truly an enlightening, on-going experience; one that I truly enjoy. I began posting His Word in "My Highlighted Bible Verses" and couldn't stop. He started talking to me through Scripture, some of the messaging is beyond me, and still continues to be that way, although I am learning. It's You Again God
Sometimes life can get so hectic that we fail to stop, take a breath and just be still. For years I have been committed to having a quiet time each day where I read the Bible and talk to God about what is on my heart, which has been really wonderful but it just struck me today as I began my quiet time that I need to take more time to LISTEN when God is trying to speak to me. When I am more open to Him leading my quiet time, it's so much better! God has so much He wants to say, so much He wants to teach me.
