"No one has ever really... had any faith in me before."

"What do you mean? I always have."

"That's because your fatal flaw is loyalty."

"Hey! I'm not just loyal to anyone! Only those that deserve it. And that includes you."

Percy Jackson x Reader, book 1.

IT ALSO VERY MUCH DOES NOT BELONG TO ME! IT IS A FANFICTION. PLEASE DO NOT REPORT THIS, IT IS EXPLICITLY LABELLED AS FANFICTION.

Welcome, readers, to a book with an accurately represented disabled Y/N! And her disability isn't just a plot convenience! What a novelty!

All jokes aside, I am a disabled person, and one thing that has always annoyed me, is the lack of disabled representation in media. And when it is represented, it's often more there as a plot convenience than just for the sake of you know- just being disabled.

So I decided to take things into my own hands.
Yes, Y/N's disability is a part of the plot, but it is not a plot convenience. It's not thrown in there for the sake of added tension or drama. She just happens to be disabled. It will obviously be involved in some ways, as Y/N's disability (a form of cerebral palsy) does impact her life. But it won't be something that the plot hinges on- does that make sense?

The form of cerebral palsy Y/N has is the same one I personally have. So anything written here is written from personal experience. So it will, inevitably, not be accurate to every person with the same form of cerebral palsy.

along with that, if you aren't disabled, and want to read this anyway, and have any questions, feel free to ask me! I really don't mind answering anything you're curious about.

I currently have three books in the works in this series. Each Y/N has the same disability as me, but I would really like to branch out! So if anyone who has any other disabilities or even another form of CP would like to help out, help me write an accurate character, that would be great!

Life of A Young Demigod: Book 1 (Percy Jackson reader insert) by ClarendonI
25 parts Complete
COMPLETED! This is a m!reader-insert fic based in the Percy Jackson universe, as I imagine you can tell. I'm just starting this (as of early March 2023), and have very little writing experience, at least with this style, so forgive me if it begins a bit rough, I will likely go back and clean things up later on once I'm a bit more experienced. I intend this to be fairly strict in terms of major canon relationships and such, I don't have a problem with people who change them and actually quite like a number of stories that do, but I'd like to try something other than the 50th readerxannabeth fic (dont yell at me I actually enjoy those). I also will not be having (Y/N) "take Percy's place" in any way. Again, I have no problem with others who write this way, but it is not how I want to do it. I grew up with Rick's superb writing, and I don't intend to make any fundamental changes to Percy's story. It is great as is and I don't exactly feel qualified to change it. Perhaps I will get more ambitious as I go along, but I am fairly certain of this at the moment. (Y/N)'s story is complimentary. It will of course involve many changes to events, new events, and even slight lore changes to make things work, but it will all make sense within the original framework and hopefully won't be too jarring. In terms of long term plans. I aim to at least get through the end of HoO. That'll probably take a good year or so, so I think that's a solid aim for now. I'm from Long Island, so expect a LOT of specific LI and NY references here and there. Think of them as fun easter eggs :) Books one and two are going to fairly brief compared to the later ones. They're not short by any means, they'll be a solid 3 hour read each, but the later ones will be notably longer. Enjoy!

Many forget that the goddess of love was born from the raging sea, but she would do anything to protect her daughter. Adora was Aphrodite's last daughter. Her mother kept her hidden. But, her mother isn't the only one who can keep a secret, especially in a world where your role in society is everything. For there was a prophecy long before she was born: 'Aphrodite's last child would be the one to take the throne, Her paternity unknown. They would carve her face and never forget, for she would be the most beautiful that they had met Cursed for the same fate as her mother Forced to leave her love for another The only way she shall break this curse is if she defeats the first' "Looks like the princess doesn't need saving after all." He says, quietly enough that no one else would hear, as he draws his hand away from my arm. I glare back at him. "Maybe she never did," I walk away, not sparing a single glance back, no matter how much my body was begging me to. I fuss over my hair, pouting as I run my fingers through it to put it back into place. *A warning note* I am not an expert on Greek Mythology, but it interests me greatly. Please excuse any inaccuracies in the book, but if there are any please do message or comment it and I will see if I can change it without making such a huge difference to the plot. Also, my main character is autistic and the experience will be different for everyone. I have tried my hardest to put down on paper how I feel and how I believe others see me. So, please be respectful about the decisions my characters make as I have chosen to give them many different types of neurodivergent brains. I have tried my best to represent these in the most accurate light whilst not romanticising them.

I could give you a sob story about how tough Cressida Lynn's life has been, but you're not here for that. You're not here to hear about how terrible her mother treated her and how she only got her first birthday present at age nine or how no one outside her cabin liked her. No. You're here to hear about how her life changed the summer of her 12th birthday. The summer when Poseidon's son came crashing through the camp borders after he'd killed the Minotaur. You're here to hear about how they found the Lightning Thief. You're here to hear about how they ventured through the Sea of Monsters. You're here to hear about how they withstood the Titan's Curse. You're here to hear about how they fought in the Battle of the Labyrinth. You're here to hear about how they defended the Last Olympian. However, I must warn you that this journey is not for the faint-hearted for each quest is more treacherous than the last. And it is most certainly not for mortals. But, should you find yourself feeling brave, should you be a demigod in a past life, a present life or a future one, then I invite you to join me on this adventure. #1 in hades #1 in greekgodsandgoddesses #1 in lukecastellan #1 in titanwar #1 in dionysus #1 in pjofandom #4 in zeus #4 in seaofmonsters #9 in kronos #10 in labyrinth #12 in percyjacksonandtheolympians #17 in greekmythology #23 in annabethchase #36 in poseidon (Lightning Thief - Last Olympian) (Disclaimer: All rights go to the legendary Rick Riordan, I only own Cressida and any original scenes and dialogue I've written.) (A/N: I don't know what that description was but I hope you still choose to read my story because I think it's pretty good. Please don't plagiarise and I hope you enjoy.)
