All the chatter and commotion in the cafeteria died down as he clapped his hands before clearing his throat and announcing, "Alright folks, it's time for our little tradition." His voice boomed through the room.

"Let's welcome our beloved new inmate to the table, shall we?" His eyes landing on me.

My heart sank as I realized that I was the only new inmate in the room. All eyes turned to me expectantly, I felt a lump form in my throat at all the attention, feeling a sick sense of dread in the pit of my stomach as I slowly made my way to the table.

As I walked towards the table, Taehyung stretched out his hand to help me up. I hesitated for a moment but eventually took his hand. As I was stepping onto the table, the man suddenly let go of my hand, causing me to lose my balance and stumble.

I braced myself for the fall, but the ravenette quickly caught me with his other hand, laughing.

"Nice one," he said, grinning at me. "You've got good reflexes.━━ ❞
