Growing up is hard. The changes (physical, emotional, and mental) are confusing to maneuver. The experience can feel very isolating. Your teen years are a time for self-discovery, self-growth, learning, hormones, love, and heartbreak.
This series of poems was written during my teenage years (15-19). It shares moments ranging from and between sadness and joy over the course of highschool, and beginning of university.
These poems explore the teenage struggles with social groups, mental health, and romantic feelings.
I wish I had this book. I might have felt seen and heard, and maybe a little less lonely.
I hope you feel heard through these poems. Or, maybe even inspired to write your own experiences and share them.

Tender

15 parts Ongoing

Struggles have never been so beautiful. TENDER by FULLOFMOON is an exploration of the human experience, delving into abstract yet universal struggles. Through experimental use of various literary devices, classical references, political theories, economic concepts, and diverse structures, it addresses uncomfortable emotions, world systems, existential questions, and infatuations (with people, things, and the self.) By employing relatable subject matter and simple language, TENDER seeks to show how deeply beautiful our tender encounters truly are. Book cover photo credits: Reylia Slaby - Dagny Tarver
