This story is about Harry Potter having a mental illness.

"If we interpret the story as Harry's fantasy, then the Dursleys are Harry's real parents, and the Potters are imaginary. The Durselys either can't cope with the increasingly-delusional boy living with them, or perhaps they are merely abusive, and it's the abuse that's making him delusional. In any event, the parent-figures constantly mistreat him, favor the brother, and inflict endless cruelty and humiliation on him. One day, Harry snaps, and Dudley (who is really Harry's brother) is severely injured, in a way requiring repeated hospital treatments. (In the delusion, Harry imagines that a pig's tail is magically grown from Dudley's buttocks.) As a result of this incident, Harry is taken away to a "special school." This comes from a theory from a reddit user called, u/Mr_Broomstick nine years ago, but I decided to take it up a level and bring this theory to life via story. I hope you enjoy it.

The war has finished, people can now come out of hiding, and Voldemort is finally dead. For many people this victory means never ending peace, but for three people in particular- it is their worst nightmare. Harry Potter's Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon and their son- Harry's cousin- Dudley. Petunia's hatred for the boy stimulated from a mixture of jealousy and pure resentment. Vernon's hatred for the boy began from the single fact that everything he has ever believed in regarding magic- was a lie. He hates everything completely out of what he deems 'normal' and in his eyes Harry is most definitely not normal because he is a wizard. Dudley however is a different story all together. His hatred for Harry simply began because his parents have always hated him- and therefore he thought it was perfectly fine. After they were all forced into hiding when the war really began, he thought a lot and concluded that he never did hate Harry. Seventeen years of misguided anger towards his cousin when really it should have been his parents for making him believe he was nothing less than an animal. Three years have passed since the war ended and Dudley has managed to buy his first house, is a successful businessman and is in the process of planning his wedding with his fiancé - who he met whilst they were in hiding in a small village. One letter changes everything though for the now twenty-one year old- a letter from Harry informing him that he wants to get back in contact. Will Dudley finally be able to show Harry he has genuinely redeemed himself and is no longer spoiled brat?

[PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18] "You're kind of like a Safe Haven, you know?" "How long have you been waiting to make that pun?" "You have no idea" Haven Goldspear, an orphan of the War like so many others, was left alone. Both parents killed in the two Wizarding Wars, no direct family she still had contact with, and the fellow Hufflepuffs who could barely be called 'friends'; she was utterly alone in the world. Her coping techniques would probably be discouraged if she went to a therapist but those small acts of her exploding anger were the only things that could keep her going. That, and the newfound friendship she made at Hogwarts when she returned, along with most of the others from her year, as eighth-year students. Harry was grateful for the support the Weasleys had given him over the months but they didn't understand. Their situations were completely different even though they went through the same trauma. Everything angered Harry, he felt alone - weird considering how packed The Burrow was - and the fact that Ron and Hermione sneaked off to Ron's room at least once a day did not help. Maybe Haven's coping techniques weren't therapist-recommended and rarely safe, but it helped them to release all their anger and frustrations. Not only on glassware and walls, but on each other. It's the 1st story of the Harry Potter series but with a different idea I've been working around of the story. What if instead Harry lives with the Dursley's, a ex-dark witch wants redemption and takes in the child as her own? What if Harry and Draco got along as children and even are cousins? What if instead of being friends with Ron Weasley, he and Draco befriends Hermione Granger and Pansy Parkinson first? All of this will be answered in this story.
