When the Russian Mafia Don William Lyiora destroys Stitem and takes Nicolette Lyiora away to experiment with her and Nyx, things fall apart, and the gifted are forced to face the horrible reality for their children. It takes years before Ein Wolfier finally convinces his closest friends, Leroy Kettison and Charles Russo, to leave the sanctuary of the newly built Stitem with him in the hopes of rescuing Nicolette and fulfilling the promise he made to her years ago. As Ein embarks on his journey, he encounters numerous obstacles and unveils the vast world beyond the confines of Stitem, a world that had been concealed from him. Early on, he discovers that Tye, a soul, resides within him, much like Nyx resides within Nicolette. Equipped with a unique weapon, he must master his mana and harness the weapon to amplify his magical prowess. Connected to the human world is the world of the gifted and fantasy, where beings thought to be myths lie. Nicolette and Nyx work hard to train every day, forced to undergo painful experiments to live up to the expectations of the weapon William wants. Her mental state is broken as a small child forced to grow up in seclusion and isolation. Ein and Nicolette are dying to be free from the constraints of the world and reunited once more. They want nothing more than to free Nyx and Tye's souls from their five thousand-year-old curse, set things straight for those who had been wronged before them, and allow the gifted to live freely. Years of pain and torment and stories as old as time unfold within Baneful, giving light to the paths that formed from these seemingly small backgrounds. Everyone has a story to tell, and not everything is as it seems at first glance when the painful truth lies beneath a false surface. Baneful Book 1 is full of fantasy, tragedy, and lost romance, coming full circle following twists and turns. You will not hear only one story and see only one point of view but many as they tell their side of the story.
