Lexington, a rising pop singer fresh off a viral tour and a highly publicized breakup with her ex-girlfriend, decides to take a break from the spotlight and enroll at UConn-partly to breathe again, but mostly to be near her childhood best friend, Nika Mühl. Nika is her anchor, her history, her safe place. But UConn isn't quiet for long. Nika keeps bringing up someone-"her"-every time they talk. At first, Lexington brushes it off, until the day she meets the girl behind Nika's laughter and late-night calls. The story follows Lexington navigating a new world outside the industry, healing from her past relationship, and slowly growing attached to the girl Nika couldn't stop talking about. But feelings are never simple, especially when the songs Lexington writes start to sound a little too much like the truth.
