16 year old Johnny Cade's parents died after getting caught in a shooting late at night. Johnny has no other relatives who were eligible to care for him... except for his late father's niece: Connie Jane Cade. Connie's 18 years old and lives up in New York. She comes down to Tulsa to take care of her cousin. Johnny loves her, but he's a little worried about her meeting the gang...
