After the devastating war that devastated the two continents of A'Jahniya 2000 years ago, hardly any survivors remain. Those who do sequester themselves in small villages, scared to leave the safety of their human counterparts.

But for Lily Stokes, a young hunter living in the mountainside village of Kan'toynoki, her greatest worry is being able to keep her struggling family together.
