Jason Alexander aka Jay Rock, is a twenty seven year old man raising his twins Jason junior and Brie named after her mom,she died and Jason had to step up and be both parents.
Brie is a mama's girl and it took her awhile to adjust to living with her dad,but Jason junior had no problem with it, Jason junior or JR always wanted to live with his dad. The kids find out that there not the only ones in there dads life,a girl named Kim and the kids hate her from the very beginning of meeting her.Jay tells them she's just a friend,but in there minds she wants to replace there mother.Jay assures them that won't happen.
What the kids don't know is that Jay Rock is a gay man, who has hid his sexuality from his family,but the twins will find out who there father is,by finally living with him. The children lived with there mom in South Carolina, and would only see there father on holidays and summer vacations. Jay wasn't married to there mother,its that old saying of deep down a woman knows what she's getting.
But before the kids came to live with there dad,he had just came out to his friends Mike and Reggie,and they introduce Jay to the love of his life Jammal Graceson an attorney,and totally the opposite of Jay. Jammal is educated rich and not afraid of who he is,a gay man which Jay learns its okay to be who he is.
Jammal meets the kids of his lover,and they tell the kids there just friends,Jay finds out kids are a lot smarter than he thinks and knows what there real relationship is, Jay Rock has to deal with there feelings and also Jammal's sister about him having an instant family.
