Selena has always been a father's daughter.
Bella chooses to move to the small town of Forks to live with Charlie her father in the small town of Forks since her mother wanted to travel the world continuing to support Phil, her stepfather's profession.
Selena also decides to move in with Charlie because she is a father's daughter and missed Charlie a lot.
Selena and Bella never got along.
The secret Bella is unaware of regarding Selena being a biological cousin and not her twin sister, which even Charlie is aware of, is revealed along the way, as well as several other secrets.
